The United Arab Emirates provides visa-on-arrival facilities for citizens of specific countries, enabling them to enter without applying for a visa in advance. The length of stay permitted varies based on the traveler’s nationality.

30-Day Visa on Arrival

Travelers from eligible countries can obtain a 30-day visa on arrival in the UAE. This visa comes with a 10-day grace period, offering the option to extend the stay if needed. It is ideal for short-term visits such as tourism, business, or transit. Passport holders from Andorra, Australia, Brunei, Canada, China, Hong Kong (China), Japan, Kazakhstan, Macau (China), Malaysia, Mauritius, Monaco, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, San Marino, Singapore, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, and Vatican City do not need to arrange a visa in advance.

90-Day Visa on Arrival

If you hold a passport from any of the countries or territories listed below, you will receive a multiple-entry visit visa on arrival, valid for 90 days within a six-month period from the date of issue. Moreover, citizens of the specified European countries may apply for a pre-arranged visit visa once they have used their full 90-day stay on the visa issued upon arrival.

180-Day Visa on Arrival

If you have a Mexican passport, you will receive a multiple-entry visit visa on arrival, allowing a stay of up to 180 days. This visa remains valid for six months from the date of issuance.

Special Provisions for Indian Citizens

Indian citizens with a regular passport can obtain a visa on arrival in the UAE for up to 14 days if they also hold one of the following documents, valid for at least six months from their arrival date:

Overstay Fines

The UAE’s Immigration and Citizenship Authority (ICP) has set uniform penalties for visa overstays: AED 50 per day is charged for staying beyond the expiry of a visit, tourist, or residence visa, starting from the 11th day after the visa has expired.
